Beijing is steeped in history as the political hub of China. In conjunction with the pleasant visit of Marisa's mum, we discovered Beijing via a 5 day tour. Surprisingly for a tour, it was relaxed and liked the sense of having everything organised for us and to be merely a lemming following the yellow flag waved around. Some of the highlights were to stroll just a mere portion of the Forbidden City and scaling the Great Wall. Overall, very fulfilling trip to Beijing, but once is enough for now.

Wine Gathering - Tokio Joe

Another hard week in the office and another Friday night. Wine appreciation sounds like the perfect treat to lead into the weekend. From the recommendation of my good friend Joe (no he is not Tokio Joe) we indulged in a buffet of Japanese delicacies. Fatty tuna, scampi, oyster, sea urchin, hairy crab, and more. After the night, I think we can give Japanese food a bit of break. Hmm... Maccas anyone?
